Robert L. Manning is a Healthcare M&A and corporate development executive with more than 25 years of experience scaling private equity–backed, publicly traded, and multi-site healthcare organizations. He has deep expertise in physician partnerships, joint ventures, valuations, regulatory strategy (CPOM, CON), and integration leadership. Robert has completed 100+ transactions totaling more than $1.3B in enterprise value across oral surgery, pain management, renal care, dermatology, and multispecialty platforms.
Most recently as Vice President of Business Development at U.S. Oral Surgery Management (Oak Hill Capital-backed), Robert supported a regional M&A strategy and partnership development, expanding its corporate footprint into five new states in the Northeast with more than 14 transactions totaling over $134M in acquisitions.
Previously, he built acquisition pipelines at DxTx Pain and Spine and led M&A strategy at National Spine & Pain, where he also developed an ASC growth strategy spanning JV acquisitions and de novo development. His background in physician specialty collaboration was furthered as VP of Business Development at Mednax, Inc., where he directed $650M in acquisitions, expanding national pediatric, anesthesia, and radiology service lines and key RCM acquisitions.
As Vice President of Business Development at Bain Capital–backed U.S. Renal Care, Robert supported growth strategies for a network of over 350 clinics located along the Eastern Seaboard. He also held various leadership roles at Fresenius Medical Care, where Robert and his team closed more than 75 physician joint ventures and more than $100M in dialysis acquisitions. Robert’s career in the renal space began at Physicians Dialysis Inc., where he helped drive the start-up’s rapid growth through aggressive acquisition and joint venture models.
Robert holds a B.S. in Communications from Syracuse University. He holds certifications in M&A Corporate Development Strategies (Wharton School); Program on Negotiation (Harvard Law School); and Quantitative Modeling & Spreadsheets (University of Pennsylvania).
